λ Sorority, is an organization that stands by three pillars: academic excellence, community service and sisterhood. 作为λ的成员，我们相信 in promoting the advancement of Latinas through higher education. 幸运的是, has been an increase in the number of Latinas that are enrolled at a post-secondary 学院或大学等机构. The lack of Latinas attending a higher education institution inspired our founding sisters to host a conference where the opportunity of pursuing higher education is presented to a group of young Latinas. 

We currently have 43 chapters nationwide – ranging from California to New York. We take pride in being the first Latina sorority to be established in Colorado and at UNC. With three main foci: 学者, Community Service, and Sisterhood, we strive to succeed in our academics, give back to the community, and represent our organization 我们的姐妹情谊强大! You may see Lambdas performing with machetes to symbolize 力量和授权!

Dear School/Organizations Representative, 

谢谢你对…感兴趣 25th Annual  拉丁裔青年领袖会议. This conference is a collaborative effort between the Kappa章 of Lambda Theta 女大学生联谊会. and the csamar Chávez文化中心 and Undocumented Student Services 在北科罗拉多大学任教. Since the first conference in 1997, the conference speakers and facilitators have impacted over 8000多名年轻女性. Our goal is to empower young women to make positive choices, plan for their future education, and inspire those who may be having difficulties with grades, truancy or 在学校缺乏动力. 

This conference includes four interactive workshops that focus on the following: cultural awareness, positive self-image, leadership and education. 在过去的几年里，车间 focusing on 文化意识 will spotlight Latinx culture and Mexican American issues while also addressing other minoritized communities. 教育工作坊 has previously consisted of a panel featuring high school and college students, along with professionals from the higher education community; this provides attendees with the opportunity to ask questions they may have for the future. 最后两个工作坊 will focus on leadership and positive self-image.
